Step 1: Marinade Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, take the chicken wing pieces. You can have chicken wings either with skin or without skin. Chicken wings with skin are much better because of their buttery flavor. Now, add 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon each of garlic and onion powder, 1 teaspoon Kosher salt, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and 1/2 cup of teriyaki or honey-orange mixture or hot sauce to it. Now, mix and marinate the chicken wings well. Let them soak up the spices for 2-3 hours.
Step 2: Make the Batter Mixture
To prepare the batter, you need 2 lightly beaten eggs, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, and 3/4 liter of buttermilk. Combine these three ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix them well. You will find a thick texture in the mixture. Now it is ready to use.
Step 3: Coat Chicken Wings with batter for Frying
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and all the spices, including garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, Kosher salt, and onion powder. Combine them thoroughly. Your flour with seasoning is ready. Then, place all the pieces of chicken wings into the batter and dredge them properly. After coating the chicken wings in the batter, take them out and place them in the flour with seasoning. Now, coat the chicken wings with the flour mixture and place them on a large plate or bowl.
Step 4: Deep-Frying
You can use a deep-fryer or a skillet to fry the well-prepared chicken wings. It is advised to use a deep fryer. I'll use a deep-fryer to explain the procedure. take 1/4 liter vegetable oil and pour it into the deep fryer. It should be powered on by plugging into a power source. Set the temperature to 365 degrees Fahrenheit and the timer for 10 minutes. Then, keep all the chicken wing pieces in the deep-fryer basket and close the lid. Once the chicken pieces have turned golden brown after 10 minutes, take them away from the basket and place them on a serving plate or bowl.
Step 5: Presenting
Now, it is the last part of the cooking process. Serve your tasty deep-fried chicken wings with Duff’s sauce or any other hot sauce and enjoy with your family and friends.
